A Monday morning treasure: Dear Diary: As an out-of-town visitor to the High Line, I wasn’t sure I was headed in the right direction when I got out of the subway at 23rd and Eighth Avenue. I went into a Duane Reade and asked the clerks behind the cashier’s counter, “Where can I find the High Line?” “Eyeliner? Aisle 5,” they replied. No, I said, I want to find the High Line. “Highlights? Aisle 10,” they replied. I could see that I was getting nowhere, but at least the employees know their products and where they are located!
